Electromagnetic Compatibility

Electromagnetic Compatibility

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing measures the ability of equipment or systems to function satisfactorily in their electromagnetic environment without introducing intolerable electromagnetic disturbance to anything in that environment. This test is aimed to ensure that your electronic or electrical device doesn't emit a large amount of electromagnetic interference (known as radiated and conducted emissions) and that your device continues to function as intended in the presence of several electromagnetic phenomena.

Service Scopes

Equipped with the most advanced equipment, our lab is capable of testing frequency ranges up to 220 GHz and uniform field levels of 30+V/m. EMC tests of LCD (liquid crystal display) we can offer include:

Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)

EMI is a phenomenon that occurs when the operation of an electronic device is disturbed by an electromagnetic (EM) field and typically occurs when the device is close to an EM field, which disrupts the radio frequency spectrum.
EMI tests mainly involve the tests of radiated emission, conducted emission, harmonic, and flicker.

Electro-Magnetic Susceptibility (EMS)

EMS is the ability of electronic components, assemblies, modules and devices to react to electromagnetic interference and the extent to which their functionality is impaired.
EMS tests mainly involve ESD (electrostatic discharge) test, RS (radiate susceptibility) test, CS (conducted susceptibility) test, DIP (voltage dips, short interruptions and voltage variations immunity tests), Surge test, EFT (electrical fast transient) test, and PFMF (Power frequency magnetic field) test.

Test Standard

  • IEC 61000-4 (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
  • MIL-STD-461 (Requirements for the Control of Electromagnetic Interference Characteristics of Subsystems and Equipment)
  • DO-160 (Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment is a standard for the environmental testing of avionics hardware)
  • GB/T17626.3 (National Standard of China – Electromagnetic compatibility- testing and measurement techniques – radiated, radiofrequency, electromagnetic field immunity test)

Our Advantages

Electromagnetic Compatibility

Alfa Chemistry will be in touch with you throughout the liquid crystal and LCD analysis process to make sure your project objectives are accomplished. You will be able to decide whether your needs have been fulfilled and whether additional testing is required to meet your needs throughout the project. The final outcome will be a high-quality analysis. Please contact us or get a quote to discuss your testing needs for a complete list of our testing services.
